Flip Intel is run by one person who's also an eBay seller. This policy is short because the answer to "what do you do with my data?" is short: as little as possible, and never anything you wouldn't expect.

When you connect your eBay store via eBay's official OAuth flow, you authorize us to read the following from your account:
We request read-only scopes. We cannot post, edit, or delete anything in your eBay account on the Starter plan. (Growth and Pro plans add limited write scopes for features you explicitly trigger — bundle creation, listing edits — and only after you confirm each action.)
We never receive your eBay password. eBay holds it; we hold a refresh token they issued us, encrypted at rest.
To keep the service running, we log basic request metadata (timestamps, tool names called, response sizes) and cache eBay API responses temporarily (30 minutes to 24 hours, depending on the endpoint) so we don't hammer eBay's servers. Cached data is per-customer and is not used for analytics.
The important integration to understand. Flip Intel is a connector between your AI chat (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) and eBay's APIs. When you ask your AI a question, your AI calls one of our tools, our server fetches the answer from eBay, and we return it to your AI session.
This means your eBay data passes through your AI provider as part of the chat. Their privacy policy applies to that part of the flow. We don't send your data to them outside of those tool calls — they receive it because you asked your AI a question.

While you're a paying customer, we hold your refresh token and cached responses for as long as you keep the service. When you cancel, your refresh token is deleted within 30 days (we keep it briefly in case you reactivate). Billing records and email contact data are retained as required by tax/accounting law (typically 7 years in the US).

Flip Intel is for adults running a business on eBay. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We follow common-sense security practices: encrypted token storage, hashed API keys, HTTPS-only, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE for the connector flow. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs, we'll notify affected users by email within 72 hours of discovery.
If we change anything material, we'll email active customers and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
